Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
This policy explains what information investingg.in (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit the website or use our trading journal, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, username, phone number and password. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
- Trading data you add to the journal: trades and tradebook files you import, notes, strategies, watchlists, baskets, trade screenshots and your profile picture.
- Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp, for example for support or access requests.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data such as IP address, browser and device type and the pages you request. This is recorded by our hosting providers in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
- Data stored in your browser: when you log in, a session token and basic profile details are kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in, along with small interface preferences (for example which panels are collapsed). You can clear this at any time by logging out or clearing site data.
- Advertising and video cookies from third parties, described in sections 3 and 4.
We do not use website analytics tools or tracking pixels of our own.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and to log you in.
- To provide the journal features: recording trades, calculating P&L, win rate and profit factor, and giving discipline feedback on your own trades.
- To send account emails, such as password reset links.
- To respond to support requests and manage access to paid features.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To show advertising on public pages, as described in section 3, which helps fund the free content.
We use AI tools only to help draft public market commentary. Your personal information and your trades are not sent to those tools.
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show ads on some public pages, such as blog posts. Ads are not shown inside your logged-in journal pages.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we only show ads where you have made a choice through the consent message provided by Google's certified consent platform. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time, and you can clear your browser's cookies to reset it.
We do not control the ads that are shown or the cookies advertisers set. Ads are labelled “Advertisement” and are not recommendations or endorsements by us.
4. YouTube videos
Some pages embed videos from YouTube (owned by Google). The video only loads when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once you play a video, YouTube may set cookies and collect data under Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Service providers we share data with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the service, and only as needed:
- Cloud hosting and database providers, which store and serve the site and your account data.
- Resend, which delivers our account emails.
- Cloudinary, which stores uploaded images such as trade screenshots and profile pictures.
- Google, for advertising and embedded videos, as described above.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service. Some of these providers process data on servers outside India.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep your account and journal data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must keep some records to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Server logs are kept for a limited period.
7. Security
We use measures such as password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please choose a strong, unique password and do not share it.
8. Your choices and rights
Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to give you access to your personal data, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to our processing. To do this, email us at the address below from the email address linked to your account. We may need to verify your identity first.
You can also log out and clear your browser's site data at any time, and manage advertising choices as described in section 3.
9. Children
The site is intended for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Not investment advice

11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
